James C. Heath

James Heath is more than just an attorney; he’s a proven fighter who brings the discipline, tenacity, and dedication of a Marine Corps combat veteran to every case he handles. Having served honorably in the Marines, rising rapidly to the rank of Sergeant within just four years, James distinguished himself through meritorious promotions and numerous commendations, including the prestigious Combat Action Ribbon and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal. His military service forged in him an unwavering commitment to protecting and advocating for others, qualities he now passionately applies to defending his clients.

Academically exceptional, James graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Law from the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning recognition on the President’s List and Dean’s List. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law, excelling academically and as a member of the Trial Advocacy Mock Trial Team, where he honed powerful courtroom skills competing in national criminal law advocacy competitions.

James built a robust legal foundation through hands-on experience in both state and federal criminal defense, spending formative years with the Far West Texas Regional Public Defender’s Office and the Federal Public Defenders for the Northern District of Texas. Before joining BRCK Defense Attorneys, James further solidified his courtroom expertise as a Public Defender for the Atascosa Area Advocates, zealously representing clients across juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony charges within the 81st and 218th Judicial Districts. His deep familiarity with local courts, strong community ties, and proven track record of vigorously defending his clients position him as an attorney clients trust and opponents respect.
